What is Nurse-Family Partnership?
Guthrie’s Nurse-Family Partnership program provides the support and information you need as you prepare for your new baby’s arrival. A specially trained nurse will visit with you to support you throughout your pregnancy and after your baby arrives too.

- Learn more about pregnancy and childbirth
- Prepare you for the arrival of your newborn
- Learn about breast and bottle-feeding

- Build a strong network for yourself and your baby, including community support services

How Much Does the Program Cost and Can My Baby’s Father Participate?
Nurse-Family Partnership is free to all eligible women. Participation is voluntary. NFP encourages fathers, partners, family members, and even friends to be involved in the visits to learn how they can best support you and your baby.
Who Can Enroll?
The program is open to any woman who:
- Is pregnant
- Lives in Bradford, Sullivan, or Tioga counties in Pennsylvania
- Meets income eligibility
You can join as early in your pregnancy as you'd like. We prefer to meet you by week 29 of pregnancy, but will welcome you anytime before baby is born.

The Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is a free community health program that pairs you with your own registered nurse (RN) early in your pregnancy. Your nurse is there to support you every step of the way — answering questions, providing trusted health information and helping you prepare for your baby’s arrival.
