Donald Guthrie Foundation oversees all research activities conducted within The Guthrie Clinic or by Guthrie caregivers.
- Mission: Provide an environment of inquiry through clinical research, cultivate lifelong learning within the medical community and encourage innovation to advance patient-centered care.
- Vision: Improve patient care by leveraging Guthrie’s institutional resources and academic collaborators to streamline the delivery of clinical research and enhance resident education.
The foundation's executive leadership team follows a physician-administrator model. Collaboratively, they lead the strategic, operational and compliance functions of Donald Guthrie Foundation, including Clinical Research, the Institutional Review Board (“IRB”) and the LEAP testing service. This ensures effective oversight of clinical research, human subject protections, data governance, educational research and partnership development.
