The Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary has pledged $500,000 in support of the new Emergency Department and Cardiovascular Center at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.
Guthrie President and CEO, Dr. Joseph Scopelliti, said, “The Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary is a great part of our organization that has provided a long history of support for so many initiatives. Guthrie is pleased to accept this generous donation from the Auxiliary in support of expansion efforts at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. We are proud to provide excellent care to patients in our region and beyond, and support from the Auxiliary continues to be key to helping improve and expand this care.”
Kyle McDuffee, Guthrie Director of Food and Nutrition and President of the Robert Packer Auxiliary said, "The Auxiliary was very honored to donate to this excellent project that will have a long lasting impact on the community and the organization."
In recognition of this generosity, the Family Waiting Area in the new Emergency Department will be named in honor of the Auxiliary. This latest contribution brings the Auxiliary's cumulative giving, in support of various hospital projects and programs over the years, to more than $1,800,000. Revenue from the Connection Gift Shop, various sales and donations all support these efforts.
