Cortland Memorial Foundation to Host 2nd Nightingale Benefit Concert

April 9, 2024

Cortland Memorial Foundation is excited to announce the 2nd annual Nightingale Benefit Concert to be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 6-10 p.m. at the Center for the Arts of Homer. Attendees will enjoy the Fall Creek Brass Band, Ithaca’s favorite brass band, featuring the sound of New Orleans Street Music with Funk, Jazz, Pop and Rock ‘n’ Roll.

The concert will benefit Cortland Memorial Foundation, which supports Guthrie Cortland Medical Center’s efforts to provide high quality, compassionate health care while keeping services close to home.

The event honors all Guthrie Cortland nurses - a great way to kick off National Nurses Week, and the birthday of Florence Nightingale - the founder of modern nursing. One deserving nurse will also be presented with the Nightingale Award for their incredible service and dedication to the health of our community.

Guests will enjoy a welcome reception, with music by Andrew Woodruff, hors d’oeuvres from M & D Deli, and a cash bar while mingling with friends. There will be a Wine Pull for some added fun! The concert will start at 7 p.m. in the concert hall. Free tickets for Guthrie Cortland nurses will be drawn during the week prior to the event to celebrate National Nurses Week, compliments of Visions Federal Credit Union - our generous Nightingale Sponsors.  Proceeds from the event will help to meet the critical health care needs of the Cortland community.

The Foundation is grateful to its generous corporate sponsors, and we look forward to saluting the dedicated nurses at Guthrie Cortland locations.

Tickets are just $50 per person and can be purchased by visiting www.Guthrie.org/NightingaleConcert. Wine Pull corks can also be purchased for $20 each.
