Curriculum

The Internal Medicine residency has a wide assortment of didactics.  With the protected time for learning, the residents enjoy teaching from core faculty, subspecialty faculty, and fellows.  The residents also teach each other through Teaching Rounds as they learn from their own cases.  Our didactics program also includes QI projects, Patient Safety presentations, Journal Club, Skills Lab, Code Review, MegaCode and monthly Wellness sessions. 

The following schedule outlines our X+Y rotation model and the rotations residents can expect during each year of training, including the duration of each experience. This curriculum is designed to provide a balanced educational experience by creating dedicated time for both inpatient and outpatient learning, allowing residents to focus more fully on the unique goals of each setting. Based on the program's X+Y model, rotations are organized into dedicated blocks that support continuity, resident education, and patient care.
