What drew me to GME: Having worked in a doctor's office before, I already had an appreciation for the medical field and assisting doctors in patients’ wellbeing. This opportunity presented a different challenge in assisting the resident doctors in their educational success and their wellbeing.
What do I like to do in my free time: In this stage of life, my free time is mostly (and happily) devoted to my family and my faith. A dad of two girls makes for lots of play and pretend time. Needless to say, my wife and I enjoy our downtime, talking about life or watching movies. We enjoy learning and fellowshipping with our church family a couple times a week. I find a respite in getting up before everyone to exercise and on the weekends playing some video games after everyone has gone to bed.

What drew me to Internal Medicine: I have seen Internal Medicine as a branch that provides a perfect amalgamation of both the clinical and humanitarian aspects of care. I find it interesting how the same disease can lead to so many variations in a patient's narrative. Internal Medicine provides you with exposure to diverse pathologies and presentations while building long-term relationships with your patients. This specialty also provides a gateway to multiple subspecialty training or practicing in primary care. I strive to excel in my patients' expectations and thank them for every learning opportunity they provide to us as budding internists.
What do I like to do in my free time: I love to spend some quality time with my friends and family. I have a knack for writing; I often pour out my thoughts in my diary and occasionally post them online on Instagram or write blogs in Blogspot. I enjoy going on rollercoasters and adventure sports like parasailing, scuba diving, trekking, kayaking and skydiving is next up in my list. I am always up for a friendly badminton match. While at home, I like to watch documentaries, web series, or movies.

What drew me to Internal Medicine: As I recall my childhood, I remember a little girl with a toy stethoscope who used to accompany her parents to medical camps in underprivileged areas. I always found it intriguing how one helping hand could impact many lives. In medical school, I was fascinated by the collaborative approach in Internal Medicine and the difference it created. My interest in Internal Medicine was reinforced |when I explored how intellectually stimulating and thought-provoking it was. It gave me a broader vision to explore subspecialties and integrate my clinical knowledge into a wide variety of cases. I was intrigued by how a multidisciplinary approach and a shared vision of optimal patient care could improve functional outcome and life expectancy.
What do I like to do in my free time: I love dining out with friends and family. Listening to music, exploring new places, and doing self-care allow me to boost my mood and energy level.
