On February 1, Lourdes Hospital and its locations officially join Guthrie. We are so excited to welcome you, and we look forward to meeting your health care needs!

We are a not-for-profit, integrated system offering a full range of health services, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral health, surgical services, inpatient care, home health, long-term care, palliative and hospice care. Learn more about us here

With the addition of Lourdes, Guthrie has nearly 1,000 physicians and advance practice providers serving 13 counties in Pennsylvania and New York. Find a location near you here.

After completing a surgical residency at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Donald Guthrie came to Sayre, Pa., and founded the Guthrie Medical Group in 1910. Within a year, he expanded services at Robert Packer Hospital as he recruited physician specialists to join Guthrie, an integrated model he learned at Mayo.

Since then, The Guthrie Clinic has evolved and grown to six hospital campuses and nearly 50 clinic locations. Learn more about our history here.

What’s Next?

As Guthrie patients, you may still see the same Lourdes providers you know and trust, and you will have access to a larger network of providers with additional expertise and treatment options. Search for your provider or a new one here.

With the upcoming launch of the Epic electronic medical record at former Lourdes locations later this year, you can stay connected to all of your Guthrie providers and access all of your medical information in one place. Our patient portal, eGuthrie, will allow you to message providers, see test results, schedule appointments, request prescription refills and more. Learn more here.

Does Guthrie offer financial assistance?

If you do not have health insurance, are uninsured or underinsured, or worry that you may not be able to pay for part or all of your care, we may be able to help. Financial Assistance sliding scale discounts for essential services are based on family size and income. No one will be denied access to services due to an inability to pay. In addition, we may be able to help you get free or low-cost health insurance or work with you to arrange a manageable payment plan.
