Guthrie Lourdes Hospital Visitor Information

Visiting Hours

Visitation hours are generally between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. After 9:00 p.m., visitors must enter via a designated hospital entrance and go through a hospital-specific visitor identification process.

The Guthrie Clinic’s visitation practices are non-discriminatory and do not restrict, limit, or deny visitation on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability. A patient has the right, subject to their consent, to receive the visitors they designate, including but not limited to a spouse, domestic partner (including a same-sex domestic partner), another family member, or a friend, and it is their right to withdraw or deny such consent at any time.

Visitation may be restricted or limited when it is deemed clinically necessary and/or as required by federal/state/local regulations. For example, visitors with fever or flu-like symptoms or who have an acute or communicable illness/condition are not permitted to visit.

Visitors are subject to all relevant policies of the hospital and of The Guthrie Clinic and may be asked to leave if their behavior warrants (such as: not following Guthrie’s Tobacco-free Environment policy, displaying violent behavior, or not following an infection prevention policy).

Some departments have additional visitation procedures:

Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Post-Partum (LDRP):

Visitation Hours on Maternity units are between 9 a.m.- 9 p.m., with a support person(s) staying with the patient allowed to be present at all times. Limit of two support persons during the labor and birth process. If the patient chooses to employ a Doula to accompany her, she will be allowed the Doula PLUS two visitors during labor (if the patient’s medical condition and space allow). At times sibling visitation maybe restricted due to respiratory outbreaks. Siblings are not permitted to stay overnight.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU):

Two visitors at the bedside during visitation hours, with the exception of family meetings. Visitation is dependent upon the patient's condition and the condition of other patients in that area. Outside of visitation hours, visitation is based on patient/family needs and unit activity. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted, with the exception for end of life.

Surgical Services:

Children may have one or both parents/guardians with them at all times pre-and post-operation. Visitors are not permitted in the Operating Room.

Visitors and staff can choose from a variety of meal options, including homemade soups, pizzas, paninis, salads, hot entrees, wellness items, and more.

Indoor and outdoor seating allows for a comfortable dining experience. In the warmer months, visitors and staff can choose to dine on the patio and enjoy a healthy dose of sunshine.

When dining in the Cafe you may notice the lack of trash receptacles. This is because the All Spice Cafe is proud to support recycling and green initiatives. All cafeteria waste, including food waste, packaging, aluminum cans, and bottles, are placed on a conveyor belt/tray line that leads to the wash area of the kitchen. Waste items are then sorted for recycling, composting, and washing/sanitizing. The lack of trash receptacles helps us ensure that all items are properly sorted while allowing visitors and staff to quickly return to their appointments, loved ones, and work schedules.
