An integral part of Guthrie Lourdes Hospital since 1955, Guthrie Lourdes Auxiliary is a dynamic organization of volunteers dedicated to enhancing the services provided by Guthrie Lourdes Hospital and its sites of care throughout the region. We have a heart for Guthrie Lourdes caregivers, patients, student volunteers and our neighbors at large, and support them via monetary donations and service projects.
Member dues and generous donations from individuals as well as proceeds from the Auxiliary Gift Shop, DePaul Starbucks Café, vendor sales and the annual Guthrie Lourdes Ball have allowed the Auxiliary to contribute more than $4.2 million for facility renovations and expansions, cutting-edge medical equipment, college scholarships for student volunteers and grants to local humanitarian aid agencies.
Our ongoing service projects include a yearly caregiver appreciation event, seasonal “Patient Cheer” tray favors, free books for children visiting pediatric clinics, “We Care” bags of comfort items for cancer patients, and WHALE™ (“We Have A Little Emergency”) child identification kits.

Our signature fundraising event
The annual Ball is the Auxiliary’s largest source of income, allowing for significant contributions to the quality of care offered by Guthrie Lourdes Hospital. Proceeds from the 2027 gala will go toward purchase of a high-precision linear accelerator for targeted radiation therapy.
