The Auxiliary at Guthrie Troy Community Hospital are kicking off the holiday season with their annual poinsettia sale. This year the Auxiliary are also selling Mill Street popcorn and fresh roasted peanuts. All funds raised support Guthrie Troy Community Hospital.
The poinsettias are available in four colors: red, white, marble, and peppermint, and there are three sizes, 4 ½ “, 6 ½ “and 8”, priced at $7, $11, and $18 respectively. The marble poinsettias are a creamy white and feature a center stripe of pink, and the peppermint poinsettias feature pink spots on a creamy white background. Advance orders are necessary, and the orders and payment are due on Tuesday, November 17.
Delivery dates for this year for the poinsettias are Friday, Dec. 11, and Friday, Dec. 18 at the First Baptist Church of Troy and are available for collection from 2 -5 p.m.
There are six varieties of popcorn available as well as two types of roasted peanuts; the popcorn prices range from $6-$9, depending on the flavor. The peanuts come in one pound bags at $5 a bag.
