A focused outreach effort at Guthrie Lourdes is helping hundreds of women take an important step toward protecting their health.

During two Mammo-thon events held in October, Lourdes caregivers made a combined 2,260 calls to patients and scheduled 382 mammograms, connecting women with important breast cancer screening.

The Mammo-thons were held Oct. 6 and Oct. 29. The goal was to reach patients who needed to get up to date with their breast cancer screenings and help them take the next step by scheduling a mammogram.

Early detection can make a difference in finding breast cancer sooner, when treatment may be more effective. The Mammo-thons were designed to create a direct connection with patients and help more women get the screenings they need.

The October effort also built on Lourdes' previous mammography outreach. In 2025, caregivers made 3,000 calls and scheduled 205 mammograms.

The latest results demonstrate the impact of proactive outreach in connecting patients with preventive care and helping more women take an important step in protecting their health.
