Guthrie to Honor Veterans With Free Meals and Veterans Day Ceremonies
Guthrie invites veterans throughout the region to join us on Wednesday, Nov. 11, as we honor the service and sacrifice of those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
As a gesture of gratitude, veterans are invited to enjoy a free meal at any Guthrie hospital cafeteria on Veterans Day. Veterans can receive the complimentary meal by identifying themselves as a veteran at checkout.
Guthrie will also host Veterans Day ceremonies from noon to 1 p.m. at locations throughout the health system. Veterans, their families, caregivers and members of the community are invited to attend.
Ceremonies will take place at:
- Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital: Clinic Atrium, Sayre
- Guthrie Lourdes Hospital: Hospital Atrium, Binghamton
- Guthrie Cortland Medical Center: Front circle at the veterans monument; rain location: front lobby
- Guthrie Corning Hospital: Front entrance
- Guthrie Towanda Campus: Front lobby
- Guthrie Troy Community Hospital: Hospital Atrium
The systemwide Veterans Day observance is designed to provide local opportunities to recognize veterans and reflect on their service. Plans include remarks from Guthrie leaders, veteran recognition, American flags and moments of remembrance.
