Guthrie to Offer Heartwise Seminars in Ithaca and Corning

Guthrie will host a series of free community seminars on heart health at Hotel Ithaca in Ithaca, N.Y. and Radisson Hotel Corning in Corning, N.Y.

Dates and topics include:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 27 in Ithaca featuring Guy Rogers, Jr ., MPAS, PA-C, will present about heart valve disease and the latest advancements in treatment for advanced aortic stenosis.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 28 in Corning featuring Guthrie Cardiologist Venu Thirumurti, MD, who will present about heart failure and heart arrhythmias
  • Tuesday, Oct. 25 in Corning featuring featuring Guy Rogers, Jr ., MPAS, PA-C, will present about heart valve disease and the latest advancements in treatment for advanced aortic stenosis.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Ithaca featuring Guthrie cardiologist, Dr. Benjamin McClintic, who will present about exercise and “wearable” fitness trackers

Seminars will be held from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Participants will have the chance to learn more about heart disease and reducing their risk of the disease, as well as ask their own questions. Participants are also invited to visit our educational tables to learn about topics such as CPR, smoking cessation, blood pressure screenings, and much more. They will also have the opportunity to sign up to win a free door prize.
