Guthrie will be taking part in the 4th annual Southern Tier Diabetes Coalition Health Fair. The fair will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Arnot Mall in Horseheads, N.Y.
The event aims to support those at risk of, or those already suffering from diabetes. As well as having the opportunity to visit over 30 vendors, participants will be able to benefit from free screenings for blood glucose levels, body fat, and blood pressure. There will also be foot exams and body composition analysis, and flu shots will be available.
This is a big regional event, and the Guthrie Diabetes Center and Guthrie HealthWorks Wellness and Fitness Center will both be hosting stalls. There will also physician presentations, interactive booths, and raffles and prizes.
