Guthrie Announces New Providers for December and January

Guthrie is proud to announce the recent arrival of the following providers, who joined the health system in December 2014 and January 2015:

Nagwa Khadr, MD has been appointed as the new Chief of Pediatrics. She is a board certified pediatrician with a clinical interest in ADHD, adolescent care, asthma, breastfeeding, childhood obesity and preventive medicine. Dr. Khadr completed her residency in pediatrics at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Mich. She will be seeing patients in Sayre, Pa. To request an appointment, call 570-887-3070.

Matthew Quigley, MD has been appointed as the new Chief of Neurosciences. He is board certified neurosurgeon with a clinical interest in brain tumors, cerebral aneurysms, congenital spinal disorders, spinal degenerative disease, and stereotactic radiosurgery. Dr. Quigley has served as the Surgical Director for the Neuro-Oncology Program at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. for over 20 years. To request an appointment, call 570-887-2839.

Omar Yumen, MD has been appointed as the new Chief of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Yumen is a board certified, fellowship trained oncologist with a clinical interest in head and neck cancer, lung cancer, and prostate cancer. He completed a fellowship in hematology at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada and joins Guthrie from Geisinger Health System, where he was the Director of Radiation Oncology. Brianne Symonds, NP is a family medicine nurse practitioner with clinical interests in orthopedics and smoking cessation. She received her training from Binghamton University in Binghamton, N.Y. Justin Crawford, PA is a physician’s assistant for neurosurgery with clinical interests in brain tumors, cerebral aneurysms, congenital spinal disorders, pituitary tumors, and stereotactic radiosurgery.
