Guthrie is proud to announce the arrival of the following providers who recently joined the organization:

Barbara Mols-Kowalczewski, M.D. is a fellowship trained, board certified endocrinologist with clinical interests in diabetes, male hypogonadism and osteoporosis. She completed her residency for internal medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Staten Island, N.Y., and her fellowship in endocrinology, metabolism and diabetes at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Joseph Mwesige, M.D. is a fellowship trained, board certified internal medicine physician with clinical interests in end of life care, geriatrics and internal medicine. He completed his residency for internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, N.Y. and his fellowship in geriatrics at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, N.Y. Jeffrey Rand, M.D. is a board certified dermatologist with clinical interests in general dermatology and skin cancer screening. He completed a residency for dermatology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, N.Y. and a residency for internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y. Navin Kumar Subrayappa, M.D. is a fellowship trained cardiologist with clinical interests in cardiac arrhythmia, cardiology diagnostics and testing and valvular heart disease. He completed his residency for internal medicine at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pa. and his fellowship in cardiology at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pa. He is currently seeing patients in Sayre, in Troy, and at the Guthrie Wellsboro office. M. Firdos Ziauddin, M.D. is a fellowship trained, board certified breast surgeon with clinical interests in multidisciplinary breast cancer treatment and standard and oncoplastic lumpectomies. He completed his residency at Columbus/St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Ill. Dr. Ziauddin also completed fellowships in immunotherapy and surgical oncology at National Cancer Institute/NIH in Bethesda, Md. and in surgical oncology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. Sima Banerjee, M.D. is a fellowship trained, board certified interventional radiologist with clinical interests in interventional oncology, interventional radiology and tumor ablation. She completed her residency in radiology at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. and her fellowship in interventional radiology at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. Dr. Banerjee is now seeing patients in Sayre.

Mary Cotton, NP is a hospitalist nurse practitioner with clinical interests in cardiac rehabilitation, cardiology and internal medicine. She completed her nurse practitioner degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. She is currently seeing patients at Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital.

Nathan Gomes, M.D. is a fellowship trained radiologist with clinical interests in body MRI, cardiac MRI, and emergency radiology. He completed a residency for diagnostic radiology at Harlem Hospital in New York, N.Y. and his fellowship in MRI at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Mass. He has joined the Guthrie Medical Imaging team in Sayre.

Caryn Henderson, NP is a hospitalist nurse practitioner at Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital. She completed her nurse practitioner degree at State University of New York in Binghamton, N.Y.

Matthew Jackson, D.O. is a hospitalist at Guthrie Corning Hospital and Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital with clinical interests in Behcet's/Celiac disease, cardiology and critical care. He completed his residency for internal medicine at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, N.Y.  

Lawrence G. Lareau, M.D. is a board certified radiologist with clinical interests in diagnostic radiology, musculoskeletal radiology and neonatal radiology. He completed his residency for diagnostic radiology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa. Dr. Lareau joins the Guthrie Medical Imaging team in Sayre.

Marcelle Meseeha, M.D. is a hospitalist at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. She has clinical interests in critical care medicine, gastroenterology and inpatient medicine. She completed a residency for internal medicine at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. and a residency for gastrointestinal surgery at Alexandria Main University Hospital in Alexandria, Egypt.

Shri Jai Kirshan Ravi, M.D. is a hospitalist with clinical interests in congestive heart failure, diabetes mellitus and hypertension. He completed a residency for internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in New York, N.Y. Dr. Ravi has joined the team at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.

Poovendran Saththasivam, M.D. is a fellowship trained anesthesiologist with clinical interests in cardiac anesthesiology, perioperative and interventional echocardiography and regional anesthesiology. He completed a residency for anesthesiology at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. and his fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas.

Sheila Switzer, CRNA is a nurse anesthetist. She completed her education at York College of Pennsylvania/Wellspan Health Nurse Anesthetist Program in York, Pa. She joins the team at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
