Corning Hospital, Robert Packer Hospital and Troy Community Hospital are also served by Auxiliaries, each of which has a long tradition of supporting the needs of their respective hospitals. The primary purpose of Guthrie Auxiliaries is to provide financial support, by raising monies for equipment or other special projects geared toward the communities the hospitals serve. Other activities include awarding academic scholarships and raising awareness about hospital services and/or community outreach on behalf of the hospitals. Examples of these types of activities include:

  • Gift Shop clerks/cashiers (At Robert Packer Hospital)
  • Plan and implement special fund-raising events
  • Sponsorship of bake sales, book sales or uniform sales
  • Advocacy on behalf of the hospital
  • Coordinate, or assist in planning, community health educational programs
