Sayre House of Hope Announces Mural Contest for Local High School Students

The Sayre House of Hope is sponsoring a mural contest for local high school students.

To enter, students should design a colorful mural with an uplifting or hopeful theme that is 4 feet wide and 5.5 feet tall.

Students at Athens, Sayre and Waverly school districts are encouraged to participate in the contest.  One winner from each school district will receive a gift card to Michael’s craft store, and be invited to paint their mural design at Sayre House of Hope. The overall winner will recreate their mural in a larger format at Sayre House of Hope.

Submissions, including a drawing of the mural design and a separate piece of paper with the student’s name, grade, high school and phone number or email, can be sent to Elizabeth Hibbard, Sayre House of Hope, 312 Chemung St., Sayre, Pa. or Hibbard_Elizabeth@guthrie.org. The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2016.
