Guthrie is hosting a free class on healthy eating for the holidays that is open to the community. The Healthy Eating Nutrition class will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Guthrie Corning Hospital conference rooms. The holidays can be a tricky time if you are trying to eat healthy. This class is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about making smart food choices which will support a healthier lifestyle during the holidays.
Julie Walenta, Guthrie HealthWorks Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, will talk to participants about making healthier food choices this holiday season and into the new year. Participants will also receive a free healthy holiday recipe booklet.
In this free class, you will learn:
- Nutrition basics, such as the types of foods you should include in a health-promoting diet and why.
- Healthy holiday eating tips to keep you on track this time of year.
- The secret to maintaining your weight during the holidays and beyond.
