Guthrie Hospitals Achieve National Excellence for High-Quality Stroke Care
The American Heart Association has honored two Guthrie hospitals — Robert Packer Hospital and Cortland Medical Center — for their commitment to evidence-based stroke and diabetes patient care.
Robert Packer Hospital earned the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Honor Roll with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award based on 2023-2024 data, and the Get With The Guidelines-Rural Stroke Gold Award for the same period. These awards recognize the hospital's dedication to ensuring stroke patients receive optimal treatment according to nationally recognized guidelines, leading to improved patient outcomes — including more lives saved and reduced disability.
Cortland Medical Center received the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Silver Plus with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award based on its 2024 data.
