Guthrie Auxiliaries Announce Holiday Remembrance Trees and Ornament Sales

Guthrie Hospital Auxiliaries in Corning, Sayre, Towanda and Troy will sponsor Remembrance Trees at each hospital in December. The trees offer community members patients, staff and volunteers the opportunity to donate lights or ornaments in memory or honor of loved ones.

Guthrie Corning Hospital

The Guthrie Corning Hospital Auxiliary will host a tree lighting ceremony on Monday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. in Guthrie Corning Hospital’s main lobby. The annual Guthrie Corning Hospital ornament sale continues until Dec. 21. Community members, patients, staff, and volunteers may purchase a holiday ornament in recognition of someone special in their lives. Silver and gold ornaments will be offered at $5 and $10 donation. You can purchase ornaments by visiting the Guthrie Corning Hospital Main Lobby Information Desk, the Gift Shop, or the Surgical Waiting Room during the hours of 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. or purchase online at https://15068.thankyou4caring.org/corning-hospital-remembrance-tree.

Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital

Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary will host a tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 5:15 p.m. in the Guthrie Sayre Atrium Lobby. The Tree for Life program enables you to donate a single light on our main tree for $5, a strand of lights for $25, or a special star ornament for a donation of $100. Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital

Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will host a Love Light Tree Celebration & Reading of the Names on Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. in the hospital’s main lobby. The public is invited to this event. Sponsor a light in memory or honor of a loved one for $5. Purchase your light at the hospital lobby. 

Guthrie Troy Community Hospital

The 23rd annual Remembrance Tree ceremony will take place Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Guthrie Troy Community Hospital lobby with Pastor Joshua Davinsizer as guest speaker. The Remembrance Tree, sponsored by the hospital’s Auxiliary, is an opportunity to remember loved ones with angel, dove-of-peace, or snowflake ornaments placed on the Christmas tree in their memory. In addition, ornaments may honor a birth or a life, or may express a “thinking of you” message.
