Guthrie to Acquire Southern Tier Pediatrics April 1

The Guthrie Clinic and Southern Tier Pediatrics have announced that Southern Tier Pediatrics will join the Guthrie Medical Group effective April 1, 2018.

“Southern Tier Pediatrics is a practice with a rich tradition of providing outstanding care to children and families in our region,” said Dr. Frederick Bloom, President, Guthrie Medical Group. “The relationship that families have built with Southern Tier Pediatrics providers will not change. This group of exemplary providers shares our organization’s vision and values, which makes this new relationship a wonderful fit.”

Dr. Tina Nichols, President and Medical Director, Southern Tier Pediatrics said, “Joining with Guthrie will allow us to continue to provide the best pediatric care for our families while maintaining our high standard of care.  With the support of Guthrie and its networking and resources, our quality of care will continue to improve.”  

Southern Tier Pediatrics employs a staff of 60, who will all become Guthrie employees. The group’s offices in Corning and Horseheads will both remain open and staffed by Southern Tier Pediatrics providers and staff.
