Guthrie Gallop Raises $11,000 to Support Guthrie Programs

June 26, 2019

The 35th Annual Guthrie Gallop, held in Sayre, Pa. on May 11, raised more than $11,000 to support Guthrie programs.

Proceeds will benefit Guthrie’s Sports Medicine Fund to be used for projects that educate, prevent and treat sports related injuries and Camp Sensation, a day camp run by the Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital Pediatric Therapy Clinic. The camp provides creative activities that foster abilities in motor development, language, socialization and play skills for children with special needs and their siblings.

The Guthrie Gallop is the first race in the Guthrie Race Series, sponsored by the Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary. Runners who compete in the Guthrie Gallop and the Sayre Turkey Trot, to be held on Thanksgiving Day, receive an exclusive Guthrie Race Series gift.
