With another Guthrie Gallop officially in the books, attention now turns to the second signature event of the Guthrie Race Series: the Guthrie Sayre Turkey Trot.

Both races rely on the vital role played by The Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary, which proudly serves as the presenting sponsor of the two events. Their longstanding commitment, generosity and hands-on support continue to make a meaningful difference not only in these events but in the lives of the patients who benefit from them.

“We are honored to support the Guthrie Gallop and the Sayre Turkey Trot as part of the Guthrie Race Series,” said Kyle McDuffee, President of the Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary. “It’s incredibly meaningful to know that the funds raised through these events help ease everyday burdens for patients receiving cancer care. Supporting our community in this way is at the heart of everything we do.”

The Guthrie Race Series helps raise critical dollars for the Guthrie Cancer Care Fund, which directly supports patients receiving treatment at any Guthrie facility. The fund helps ease the burden of essential, everyday expenses like gas and groceries so patients and their families can focus on what matters most: healing.

This year’s Guthrie Gallop was held on May 16 and saw nearly 400 runners and community members take to the streets and raise over $25,000 in support of the Guthrie Cancer Care Fund.

Runners can keep that momentum going later this year at the Guthrie Sayre Turkey Trot, for which registration is now open. To learn more or sign up, visit: www.Guthrie.org/SayreTurkeyTrot.
