Guthrie Patient: January 2019
Cindy takes her pt's care very seriously. She calls when the test results need to be addressed soon. I appreciate the call - at least then the wondering about the test results are addressed & we can schedule the next step needed. For me - waiting for test results is very stressful - I swear I hear the 'JAWS' theme song in my head constantly. She truly cares about her pts. If she has a spare minute and walking past a treatment room of her pt or the waiting room, she stops by to say 'Hi'. She addresses any issues/concerns easily. She is very honest about ideas to help with any side effects of Chemo. If she is not well versed in a topic, she informs you of that fact & then she shares what info she has. If some of her other pts have used the specific treatment to deal with a side effect - she shares what info those pts have shared with her. It is very helpful. I then see my PCP to discuss the possible side effect treatment and what info Cindy has provided. If my PCP has other suggestions to help with the side effect - I provide Cindy with the suggestion & any info my PCP provided to Cindy via the egutherie or call.
