Guthrie Honors Those Who Served

The Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary and Guthrie Veterans Committee hosted events to honor employees who are veterans, are in the military or have family members in the military.

A ceremony on Nov. 11 in the atrium of Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre recognized employees and community members who are veterans and featured remarks from Frank Pinkosky, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer at Guthrie.

During the ceremony, the Veterans Committee announced Interventional Radiology at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital as the winner of its first ever Veteran’s Day Poppy Display competition. More than 25 departments from across Guthrie used poppy flowers provided by the committee to create displays honoring employees and family members who are or have been in the military. Three immediate past VFW District 14 Commanders served as judges in the competition.
