Williams Toyota of Sayre Drives Support for Golf for Guthrie Hospice Tournament

Williams Toyota of Sayre is reaffirming its commitment to the community by returning as presenting sponsor of the 24th annual Golf for Guthrie Hospice Tournament, set for Friday, June 26 at The Club at Shepard Hills in Waverly, N.Y. 

Since the tournament’s inception, it has raised more than $600,000 to support the compassionate end-of-life care provided by Guthrie Hospice. Williams Toyota’s long-standing partnership as presenting sponsor reflects the sustained local investment that has made that impact possible year after year. 

Guthrie Hospice provides coordinated care for terminally ill patients and their families, addressing medical, emotional and spiritual needs during life’s most vulnerable moments. As the signature fundraising event for that mission, the tournament plays a central role in sustaining hospice and bereavement services available to patients and families across the Twin Tiers. 

The day gets underway at 7:30 a.m. with registration, a continental breakfast and a full slate of tournament activities — golden ticket and 50-50 sales, mulligans and skins among them. An 8:30 a.m. shotgun start sends players out across Shepard Hills' course, with the afternoon wrapping up over a barbecue lunch on the clubhouse patio at 1 p.m.
