Williams Subaru Donates to Guthrie Cancer Center

A special donation was made this week to the Guthrie Cancer Center by Williams Subaru in Sayre. As part of Subaru’s national “Share the Love” campaign, cancer patients at Guthrie were the recipients of new blankets donated by Williams Subaru as a symbol of community support while they fight the disease. 

“We are so happy to be able to make this donation on behalf of Subaru and be a bright spot in the lives of community members going through cancer treatments,” Dalton Williams, Operations Manager for Williams Auto Group said. 

“Just knowing that they aren’t alone in their fight makes a world of difference to our patients here in the Cancer Center. We thank Williams Subaru and all of our community partners for the contributions they make,” Guthrie Oncology Social Worker, Emily Scrivener said. 

More About Subaru’s “Share the Love” Campaign:
Since 2015, Subaru has partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to donate over 105,000 blankets and 12,000 arts & crafts kits to hospitals and cancer treatment centers across the country. This June, we are once again partnering with LLS to spread hope, love, and warmth to those fighting cancer through small gestures of caring. LLS, Subaru, and out retailers will deliver over 43,000 blankets, over 9,500 arts & crafts kits, and messages of hope written by Subaru customers to patients in our local community.
