Road Repaving May Add Travel Time to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center
Guthrie Cortland Medical Center is reminding patients that paving along Homer Avenue this week may cause delays in accessing hospital lots and to plan their travel time accordingly.
Access to hospital lots will not be closed or otherwise impacted by the work, but traffic will be reduced to one lane during the project.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, the City of Cortland will begin repaving at the intersection of Homer Avenue with West Main Street and North Main Street. Traffic on Homer Avenue will be restricted to one lane as paving continues northward to the city limit. This portion of the work is anticipated to be complete by noon that day.
That afternoon, work will shift southward from the city line toward Groton Avenue. This portion of the project will run through Friday, Sept. 4.
Patients and visitors may wish to find alternate routes to the hospital while this work takes place.
