Nightingale Benefit Concert Moves to Greek Peak to Honor Nursing Excellence

March 12, 2026

Cortland Memorial Foundation (CMF) will elevate its signature annual tribute to the nursing profession this year, moving the Nightingale Benefit Concert to The Lookout at Greek Peak Mountain Resort.

Scheduled for Friday, May 8, the event takes place during National Nurses Week and celebrates the birthday of Florence Nightingale while raising funds to support the mission of Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.

Following feedback from previous attendees, the 2026 concert emphasizes celebration and movement. Ithaca’s Fall Creek Brass Band will headline the evening with a high-energy performance designed to encourage guest dancing.

The evening also serves as a strategic investment in local healthcare. A primary highlight includes the presentation of the fourth annual Nightingale Award to a Guthrie nurse selected through a peer-nomination process.

The program includes a welcome reception at 6 p.m. featuring hearty hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a cash bar* with themed signature drinks. In addition to the popular Wine Pull — where guests can purchase a cork and try their luck for "golden bottles" — this year’s event introduces exciting door prizes.

To honor the legacy of the profession, local retired nurses will receive special recognition during the program and entry into a dedicated prize drawing. The night concludes with a grand prize drawing for current Guthrie nurses.

Event access and registration
The Lookout is located at 2177 Clute Road in Cortland. Tickets are $50 per person. To increase entry efficiency, the foundation will not issue physical tickets; staff will check in all registered guests by name upon arrival.
