Guthrie Towanda Personal Care Home Celebrates 25 Years

September 13, 2024

Guthrie is celebrating 25 years of compassionate care at the Towanda Personal Care Home at Robert Packer Hospital, Towanda campus. Today, Guthrie leaders were joined by elected officials, to mark the significant milestone.

Since opening its doors in 1999, our goal has been to provide quality care and foster connections for the residents who stay with us, creating not just a home for them, but a source of hope and progress. 10 years ago, we expanded into the Pratt building, now with almost 100 beds for members of our community.

While we strive for our residents to feel at home, they have the added benefit of multiple specialized services, including physical therapy, cardiology, skilled nursing, podiatry, a beautician and a new acute rehabilitation unit.

“We are not just a place for our residents to lay their heads at night. In fact, they are not just residents; they are family,” said Jaimie Helmbright, Administrator, Towanda Personal Care Home. “We are committed to not just their immediate needs, but their overall health and wellbeing. We treat them with the respect and compassion they have earned, and work to make every day with us brighter than the last.”

The Towanda Personal Care Home proudly accepts residents supported by SSI/SSDI benefits, long-term care insurance, and VA funding. This inclusivity ensures that we can serve a diverse group of individuals, offering them and their loved ones the peace of mind and support they deserve.

We are grateful to the community for the opportunity to care for their loved ones and remain committed to their enrichment for countless years to come.
