Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Earns Re-Accreditation as Comprehensive Center with Obesity Medicine Qualifications

Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital has received full re-accreditation from the American College of Surgeons Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) as a Comprehensive Center with Obesity Medicine Qualifications, recognizing the hospital’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care for patients affected by obesity.

MBSAQIP is a joint program of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. The accreditation recognizes hospitals that meet rigorous standards for patient safety, surgical quality and long-term outcomes in metabolic and bariatric care.

The Comprehensive Center with Obesity Medicine Qualifications designation highlights Guthrie’s integrated approach to weight management, combining surgical expertise with specialized obesity medicine services to help patients achieve lasting health improvements.
