Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Awarded Primary Stroke Center Certification

Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for Primary Stroke Center Certification.

This certification is given to hospitals that provide the critical elements of stroke care to achieve long-term success in improving outcomes. The hospital must adopt a set of standardized performance measures and data is collected and submitted to the Joint Commission quarterly. Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital is recognized for having the stroke team and processes to care for patients suffering from stroke associated with clots and hemorrhaging.
