The Guthrie Clinic is pleased to announce that Geneva Ballard, MD, breast radiologist and Chair of Radiology, has been selected to serve on the Physician Advisory Committee of The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP), a statewide organization representing hospitals and health systems across the Commonwealth.

Dr. Ballard was nominated by HAP Board member Dr. Edmund Sabanegh, Guthrie President and Chief Executive Officer, in recognition of her leadership and perspective. The committee brings together physician leaders from across Pennsylvania to inform HAP’s advocacy efforts, policy priorities and strategic initiatives.

The committee serves as a forum for physician leaders to provide guidance at the intersection of physician enterprise strategy and hospital and health system sustainability. Key areas of focus for its work include workforce challenges, payment structures and care delivery innovation - critical issues shaping the future of healthcare in Pennsylvania.

“It’s a privilege to represent Guthrie on HAP’s Physician Advisory Committee alongside physician leaders from across Pennsylvania,” said Dr. Ballard. “This committee provides an important forum for aligning clinical expertise with advocacy and policy efforts that support sustainable health systems and highquality care for our communities.”

HAP represents nearly 240 hospitals and health systems and is committed to advancing policies and initiatives that support high-quality, accessible healthcare for communities across the state.
