Guthrie Provider Presents on National Palliative Care Awareness Month to Community
November is Hospice and Palliative Care Month. Guthrie System Director of Palliative Medicine, Dr. Patricia A. Fogelman, will help raise awareness about palliative care through a community presentation on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. at Valley United Presbyterian Church, located at 459 Park Ave in Waverly, N.Y.
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to learn what palliative care is, how it helps in the care of patients with advanced illness, how it differs from hospice care and more. There will also be an interactive portion where attendees can ask the expert questions and have a discussion.
This presentation is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
