Guthrie Physician Presents at Cornell University

Guthrie Gastroenterologist Karen Kim, MD recently presented to a class at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. that helps students develop skills in communicating science to the public. 

The class, called "Community Based Cancer Research Presentations and Discussions", is part of the Cornell Cancer Partnership between cancer researchers at Cornell University and the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes. Speakers from various cancer related fields are invited to present their work in the field to the students.

Guthrie is pleased to be represented by Dr. Kim, who presented on colorectal cancer with information on the colon, colorectal cancer epidemiology, the science behind the cancer, and screening tests and guidelines.

Guthrie is a non-profit integrated health system located in north central Pennsylvania and upstate New York, serving patients from a twelve-county service area.
