Guthrie Partners with Dick's Sporting Goods Open

March 27, 2019

Guthrie is pleased to announce a new partnership with one of the area’s premier summer sporting events. The Guthrie Heart and Sole 5K will be held on Saturday, August 17, following completion of the second round of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open.

The certified route will encompass the En-Joie Golf Course.

“We’re pleased to partner with the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open on this exciting new opportunity to keep our communities physically active,” said Guthrie President and CEO, Dr. Joseph Scopelliti. “The Guthrie Heart and Sole 5K reflects our continued commitment to heart health while supporting the important mission of the American Heart Association.”

In partnership with Guthrie, 100% of the registration fees will benefit the American Heart Association.

“We’re so thankful for the support of Guthrie, the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open and the community,” said Gina Chapman, Regional Director of the American Heart Association. “Opportunities for donations like this are helping to fund big science that is saving lives and allowing the American Heart Association to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.”

All participants are encouraged to attend Saturday’s Free Round sponsored by Hinman Howard & Kattell, LLP and the celebration to take place upon the completion of the 5K.

At check-in, all participants will receive, as a part of the registration fee, a complimentary ticket to Sunday’s Final Round of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open and a commemorative tee shirt.
