Guthrie Marks National Trauma Survivors' Day with Whole Blood Announcement

Wednesday, May 17 was National Trauma Survivors’ Day. Guthrie celebrated the strength and resiliency of trauma survivors, their family and friends, and the trauma professionals who go above and beyond every day to help patients in their recovery.

In conjunction with this important day of celebration, Guthrie was proud to announce that whole blood will now be available on all Guthrie Air flights, benefiting future trauma patients for years to come. Whole blood is used to treat patients who need all the components of blood, such as those who have sustained significant blood loss due to trauma or surgery and is shown to greatly improve patient outcomes.
