Guthrie to Host Walk of Remembrance Honoring Pregnancy and Child Loss

October 5, 2026

Guthrie’s First Impressions Birthing Center invites families, friends and community members to join its annual Walk of Remembrance on Sunday, Oct. 11 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Clinic Atrium on the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital campus in Sayre.

The ceremony is held in loving memory of those lost through miscarriage, stillbirth or the loss of a child. The event offers an opportunity for families to come together in remembrance, reflection and support while honoring children whose lives left a lasting impact on those who loved them.

As part of the observance, families may request that a blue or pink pinwheel be displayed on the hospital campus for one week beginning Oct. 11 in memory of their child. Each pinwheel may include the child's name and serves as a visible tribute to children remembered by their families and the community.

Families interested in having a memorial pinwheel placed on campus, or those seeking additional information about the event, may email aprile.williams@guthrie.org.

The Walk of Remembrance is open to all families and community members who wish to honor, remember and celebrate the lives of children lost too soon.
