Guthrie Earns Epic Honor Roll Distinction for Health Info Tech Implementation
The Guthrie Clinic has achieved Summa Cum Laude Honor Roll distinction from Epic, one of the largest providers of health information technology, used primarily by health systems to access, organize, store and share electronic medical records.
This is Guthrie’s fifth Summa Cum Laude—the highest recognition on Epic’s Honor Roll award.
It is also Guthrie’s eighth time overall on the list, which ties it with six other healthcare systems for most Honor Roll achievements.
The Honor Roll program is based on eight components that measure how effectively healthcare entities implement Epic’s systems: Ease of Use for Providers, Enterprise Data and Analytics, Financial, Health Information Exchange, Infrastructure, Patient Experience, Population Health, and Staying Current.
Successful and efficient implementation of each component allows Guthrie to make the most of Epic’s software to better serve the health and wellness of our communities.
“Achieving Epic Honor Roll Summa Cum Laude reflects Guthrie’s commitment to quality, safety and experience. When we equip our providers with reliable, efficient and safe digital tools, it creates measurable benefits for our patients,” said Brad Carvellas, Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer.
“Our caregivers have put a tremendous amount of effort into optimizing these systems. This recognition underscores how collaboration across clinical, operational and technology teams translate directly into quality care and experience,” he added.
