Guthrie Corning Centerway Offers Flu Clinics

Guthrie Corning Centerway will offer walk-in flu clinics for the public in September and October.

The clinics will take place on the first floor, Family Practice Department at Guthrie Corning Centerway, 130 Centerway in Corning, N.Y. during the following times:

Sunday, Sept. 25, 8 a.m. to noon
Thursday, Sept. 29, 5-7 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 30, 5-7 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 8, 8 a.m. to noon
Sunday, Oct. 9, 8 a.m. to noon
Thursday, Oct. 13, 5-7 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 14, 5-7 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 22, 8 a.m. to noon
Sunday, Oct. 23, 8 a.m. to noon
Thursday, Oct. 27, 5-7 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 28, 5-7 p.m.

Those age six months and older are encouraged to receive a flu vaccine. No appointment is necessary, and attendees do not need to be established patients but should bring their insurance card. Billing will be handled through insurance. 

Flu can have a devastating effect on people of all ages. Guthrie urges the community to receive their flu vaccines this year to minimize the spread and impact of the virus. It is important that everyone, particularly those most at risk, such as young children, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with any pre-existing health conditions, receives their flu shot as soon as possible to ensure they are protected this winter.
