The Guthrie Clinic Appoints First Chief Legal Officer
The Guthrie Clinic is pleased to announce the appointment of Donald Zaycosky as its first Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer. Zaycosky will report to Guthrie’s president and chief executive officer and serve on the organization's senior leadership team.
Zaycosky joins Guthrie from Geisinger Health, where he served in various roles including as General Counsel since 2013, providing comprehensive legal counsel to the fully integrated health care organization.
“With an extensive background in health care operations, Don is a proven leader and will be a strong addition to the Guthrie team," said Edmund Sabanegh, MD, President and CEO, The Guthrie Clinic. “He will serve as the primary counsel and legal expert for Guthrie, helping to drive strategic business initiatives and continued growth as The Guthrie Clinic continues its journey to becoming the most trusted partner for healthy local communities.
Before joining Geisinger, Zaycosky served as senior counsel for York Legal Group, LLC, a nationwide health care boutique practice representing health care providers, organizations, and state governments. Prior to that, he was an associate with Dilworth Paxson, LLP, overseeing health care and life sciences transactions, litigation, and regulatory compliance.

Zaycosky earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he also earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in Health Care Law.
He will assume this new role on June 30.
