The Guthrie Clinic Appoints Dr. Daniel Sporn to Chairman, Cardiovascular Service Line
The Guthrie Clinic is pleased to announce that Dr. Daniel Sporn has been appointed Chairman, Cardiovascular Service Line.
Dr. Edmund Sabanegh, Guthrie President and CEO said, “This is a critical leadership position for Guthrie, as the Cardiovascular Service Line has been a premier service line for many years. In this role, Dr. Sporn will lead the strategic planning, growth and operational success of the departments of Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, and Vascular Surgery.”
Dr. Sporn received his undergraduate education at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, and his graduate education and medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, DC. He completed his residency and began his fellowship at Robert Packer Hospital. He completed his Fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire. Dr Sporn then joined The Guthrie Clinic as an Interventional Cardiologist in 1991.
Dr. Sporn has served on the Guthrie Clinic Board, the Robert Packer Hospital Board and many committees at Guthrie over the years. He has been the Chief, Department of Cardiology since 2006. He has also served as the Cardiology Fellowship Director and will continue in that role.
