Guthrie Chief Quality Officer Named to Prestigious "Experts to Know" List

Guthrie EVP and Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Lisa Marie Esolen, has been named one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s Patient Safety Experts to Know for 2023. Becker’s Review is the leading health care industry news outlet for business analysis.

Since becoming Guthrie’s Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Esolen has built comprehensive teams dedicated to quality, safety and experience, leading to Guthrie being recognized nationally for quality and safety outcomes. Under Dr. Esolen’s leadership, Guthrie hospitals have shown significant improvement in quality outcomes in the last year. Enhanced patient advocacy, patient journey mapping, facility improvements and improved communication, including an increase in unit-based rounding, have resulted in consistent reductions in hospital-acquired infections, to historically low levels.
