Guthrie Announces Christmas and New Year's Holiday Hours, Closures

Guthrie is announcing modified operating hours for its outpatient facilities, walk-in clinics, pharmacies and labs for the upcoming Christmas and New Year's holidays. 

All Guthrie hospitals — including Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre and Towanda, Corning Hospital, Troy Community Hospital, Cortland Medical Center and Lourdes Hospital — will remain fully operational throughout both holiday weekends, along with their 24-hour emergency departments. 

Guthrie Medical Group practices

All standard Medical Group practices are closed on Christmas Day (Dec. 25) and New Year's Day (Jan. 1), with the exception of walk-in clinics. 

  • Christmas Eve (Dec. 24): All Medical Group practices operate from 8 a.m. to noon. 
  • New Year's Eve (Dec. 31): All Medical Group practices maintain normal operating hours

Walk-in clinic hours

Walk-in clinics are the primary source for care for minor injuries and illnesses on holidays and will operate on modified schedules: 

  • Christmas Eve (Dec. 24): 
    • Vestal and Chenango Bridge: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
    • Johnson City and Owego: 8 a.m. to noon 
    • Corning Centerway: 7 a.m. to noon 
  • Christmas Day (Dec. 25): 
    • All walk-in locations are closed. 
  • New Year's Eve (Dec. 31): 
    • Vestal, Chenango Bridge, Johnson City and Owego: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
    • Corning Centerway: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 
  • New Year's Day (Jan. 1): 
    • Only the Vestal and Chenango Bridge walk-in clinics will be open (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). All other walk-in locations are closed. 

Pharmacies

All Guthrie pharmacies are closed on Christmas Day (Dec. 25) and New Year's Day (Jan. 1). 

  • Christmas Eve (Dec. 24): Guthrie Lourdes pharmacies (Binghamton Riverside, Binghamton, Vestal, Chenango Bridge, Johnson City) operate with varying hours between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. or 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Clinic Pharmacy Sayre is open 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
  • New Year's Eve (Dec. 31): Vestal and Chenango Bridge pharmacies are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Most other Guthrie Lourdes pharmacies and Clinic Pharmacy Sayre maintain normal hours. 

Laboratory collections 

  • Guthrie Sayre Laboratory Services: Open 7 a.m. to noon on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31). Closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
  • Corning Centerway Lab: Open 7 a.m. to noon on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31). Closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day. 
  • Guthrie Lourdes Hospital/Primary Care locations and Guthrie Corning Medical Center Hospital/West Road labs: Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. 
  • Bath Laboratory Services: Closed Dec. 24-26; reopens Dec. 29. Closed Jan. 1; reopens Jan. 2. 
  • Erwin Laboratory Services: Closed Dec. 22-26; reopens Dec. 30. Closed Jan. 1; reopens Jan. 6.
