Divas Deliver Again for Guthrie Cancer Patients
The Crown City Divas of Cortland continue their generous support of the Renzi Cancer Center at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. They presented a check for $4,000 to Cortland Memorial Foundation in support of cancer patients at the Renzi Center.
The money comes from another successful Divas and Dudes for a Cure Breast Cancer Awareness Ride. This year’s motorcycle ride was held on Sept. 21, with the start and finish at the Elks Club in Homer. Those in attendance were treated to food, entertainment, and personal stories from those impacted by cancer.
We thank the Crown City Divas of Cortland for their ongoing support. The journeys of our patients are made better because of their generosity.
“The struggle in the fight against cancer goes far beyond the actual treatment. Sometimes, the journey for cancer patients begins with worrying about paying for transportation to make it to the appointment or other hurdles associated with care,” said Sheila Ossit, Cortland Memorial Foundation Director. “The Crown City Divas donation helps patients at the Renzi Cancer Center focus their energy solely on healing. We can’t thank them enough for their ongoing support.”
