Cortland Memorial Foundation to Host Nightingale Benefit Concert
On Friday, May 12, Cortland Memorial Foundation will host an evening of live jazz in honor of Guthrie Cortland nurses. Proceeds from this benefit concert will support Guthrie Cortland Medical Center’s efforts to provide high quality, compassionate health care while keeping services close to home. Nurses from Guthrie Cortland Medical Center and Guthrie offices through the area will also be honored—a great way to celebrate National Nurses Week, and the birthday of Florence Nightingale—the founder of modern nursing.
The event will be held at the Center for the Arts of Homer from 6-10 p.m. Guests will enjoy a welcome reception with music by Andrew Woodruff, hors d’oeuvres from Hairy Tony’s, and a cash bar while mingling with friends. The jazz concert featuring Steve Daniels will start at 7pm in the concert hall. He will be joined by special guests Jeff Stockham, Chris Persad, Tom Killian, Barry Blumenthal, Peter Mack, and Samantha Daniels.
Free tickets for Guthrie Cortland nurses will be raffled off during the week prior to the event to celebrate National Nurses Week, compliments of Visions Federal Credit Union and Hage Real Estate—our generous Nightingale Sponsors.
During the evening, we will acknowledge our four caregiver recipients of this year’s DAISY Awards and we will present the Nightingale Award to one deserving Guthrie Cortland nurse. There will be a Wine Pull raffle for some added fun. The Foundation is grateful to its generous corporate sponsors, and we look forward to saluting the dedicated nurses who care for our community.
Tickets are just $50 per person, and can be purchased by visiting:
