Camp Experience Helps Children Coping with the Death of a Loved One
Guthrie Hospice Pennsylvania will host a free summer camp experience next week for children coping with the death of a loved one.
Good Grief Day Camp allows children ages 6 through 18 opportunities to work through their feelings of loss. Through play, art, music and activities, the goal of this day camp experience is to help kids understand those feelings are normal, to celebrate the life of the person who has died and learn coping skills.
The camp is supported by Guthrie Hospice and Bradford County Mental Health.
Good Grief Day Camp runs June 16-18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Oasis Church, 1957 River Road in Wysox, Pa. Register a child for participation at Guthrie.org/GoodGrief.
