May 27, 2025

The 2025 Guthrie Gallop was a resounding success, raising an impressive $25,000 for the Guthrie Cancer Care Fund. More than 360 runners competed in the 10K and 5K races.

Here are this year’s top finishers:

  • Overall female 10K champion: Samantha Goble

  • Overall male 10K champion: Andy Chrysler

  • Overall female 5K champion: Lauren Castellucci

  • Overall male 5K champion: Timothy Smith

These funds will provide vital support to Guthrie patients undergoing cancer treatment by helping with urgent financial needs.

"The energy and spirit at the Guthrie Gallop this year were truly incredible. Seeing our community come together to run, walk and support the Guthrie Cancer Care Fund is profoundly moving,” said Kyle McDuffee, Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary President and Director of Operations for Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Towanda Campus, adding that the annual event is also important for the broader community. "Every step taken and dollar raised makes a real difference in the lives of local patients.”

“We're deeply grateful to all participants, volunteers and sponsors who made this inspiring day possible — especially the Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary, our returning title sponsor,” said Susan Sinay, Guthrie Gallop Race Co-Director. “We're already looking forward to next year.”
