At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review the Briefing, Intraoperative teaching, and Debriefing (BID) Model for structured learning in the operative room. 
  • Review the Zwisch model for training and assessment of the surgical residents and the technology available for application.  
  • Discuss the role of the operating room experience in the surgical education of medical students.
